Sustainable Agriculture & Rural Livelihood
Agriculture Remains the Backbone of Rural Bangladesh, And RDF Wants to Make It Climate-Smart, Productive, And Sustainable. We Aim to Support Farmers in Diversifying Their Crops, Using Organic Practices, And Adopting Drought and Flood-Resistant Varieties to Protect Against Climate Shocks.
But Agriculture Alone Is Not Enough. We Want to Strengthen Rural Livelihood Diversification, Promoting Small Livestock, Poultry, And Fisheries So That Families Can Increase Both Their Income and Nutrition. To Modernize Rural Farming, RDF Plans to Provide Access to Agricultural Machinery Through Subsidized Rental or Cooperative Models, Ensuring That Even Small and Marginal Farmers Can Benefit from Mechanization. Training Programs Will Equip Farmers with The Knowledge to Use and Maintain Equipment Effectively.
We Also Envision Expanding Financial Inclusion for Farmers, Offering Tailored Loans, Insurance, And Savings Schemes That Help Smallholders Overcome Poverty and Invest in Growth.
